Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 6 urged people to wear face masks in public. He appealed to citizens to make cloth masks at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

India TV quoted HKU researchers to report that the virus can be killed by household disinfectants, bleach or frequent hand washing with soap and water.
