Helping parents and children prevent COVID-19

The KeySteps@JC Project has produced a series of videos on COVID19 prevention, covering medical, educational and social welfare issues.

Dr Patrick Ip, Director of the project, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Paediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. In some of the videos, he demonstrates how to properly wash hands, wear surgical mask and other measures of preventing the virus. Some videos are produced especially for children.

KeySteps@JC, with a funding support of $225 million from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, is a five-year project aiming to build an integrated model involving medical, education and welfare sectors as well as to provide critical support for children. The project will roll out to 32 local kindergartens in two pilot districts, Tin Shui Wai and Sham Shui Po. The project aims to build the capacity of about 190 teachers at the pilot schools, covering about 6,000 children and their families.
