Speaker: Professor Richard Wong received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1981. He was Visiting Scholar at the University of Chicago in 1985 and at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He has served on numerous public bodies in Hong Kong, concerning Exchange Fund, public housing, industry and technology development, and higher education funding.
His current research focuses on public housing, inequality and intergenerational mobility, political economy of laissez faire in Hong Kong, and regional economic development in China.
